Sometimes I get asked by prospective couples what are my favorite venues that I have shot at over the years. 1.Cold Saturday Farms - Finksburg, Maryland


Yes, there is the word “farm” in the name but Cold Saturday Farms is anything but your standard barn wedding venue. Located in Finksburg, Maryland this new venue is set on a historic manor estate with plenty of wide open space to enjoy. There are multiple buildings and beautiful spaces on the property available for use including the newly renovated Courtyard barn which is an amazing spot for a reception under the stars.

2. Blue Moon Rising - Deep Creek, Maryland


For all you camping wedding lovers, this spot is a dream! Blue Moon Rising rents the property for the entire weekend so you spend the whole weekend with your family and friends, not just one day! There are 14 unique cabins on the property for everyone to stay the weekend, as well as a beautiful pine tree ceremony space, and teepee-style cocktail and reception area tents. You are also just a short walk from Deep Creek Lake, so your wedding weekend can really be a mini vacation with all of your favorite people!

Finegerboard Country Inn - Ijamsville, MD


This smaller Maryland wedding venue is great for events with 100 guests or less. I have done several weddings here over the years and they are always a great time. The historic home is beautiful and the farm grounds are picturesque, roaming chickens included. This is a great spot if you are looking for the lowkey backyard party wedding vibe. Just bring the lawn games and you are all set!

4. Strong Mansion - Dickerson, Maryland - Sugarloaf Mountain


Strong Mansion is an amazing historic building with truly stunning gardens. The indoor space is classicly decorated with window light which is a photographer’s absolute dream. The outside space features multiple beautiful staircases, tree-lined walkways, a large pond, and artfully curated floral gardens. This is a great venue if you are looking for something a bit more upscale vibe but still has amazing outdoor spaces.

5. Caboose Farms - Sabillasville, Maryland


This is another location that is perfect for a full weekend wedding extravaganza. With 7 houses, totaling 31 rooms, available on the property there will be no shortage of spots for your guests to sleep. The beautiful grounds are located in the Catoctin Mountains and have multiple ceremony and reception spaces available, you can really make it whatever you want!

This is another one for the camping wedding lovers! Camp Hidden Valley has all the makings of the perfect summer camp wedding. Brookside Gardens is an award-winning 50-acre public formal garden within Wheaton Regional Park. It is beautifully maintained and the grounds are stunning. There are almost too many places to take photos here, you will have a hard time narrowing them down! There are options for both indoor and outdoor receptions and multiple ceremony locations too.
